Fourteen days is already on almost every platform you can think of (except iOS). But only because a computer can run Fourteen days does not mean that it is running the game Well. Fortunately, Epic Games is trying to fix this with a new feature called Performance modeThis should help run computers that only meet the minimum specifications of the game Fourteen days a bit better.
In performance mode, frame rate and stability are prioritized by affecting visual quality. According to Epic, this mode will also put significantly less strain on the computers’ CPU and GPU, which should also help things run a little smoother. Lower spec players will be prompted to enter Performance Mode the first time they launch the game after starting the mode.
In addition to Performance Mode, Epic is adding another quality of life feature by allowing players to turn off downloads Fourteen dayshigh resolution textures. Players can disable the textures through the Epic Launcher Fourteen days Options page and it should save around 14GB of space on most computers.
The performance mode is activated Fourteen days on December 15th and will be available to all players – although those with higher spec computers and newer, more powerful hardware probably shouldn’t switch to the mode.
