Epic tries to support the player with lower specification hardware.
Developer Epic Games just made some adjustments Fortress night Runs better on older PCs.
The studio has released a new optional performance mode on its website that allows the Royale battle title to run better on lower-spec hardware. In return for better clicks on Fortnite, users gave up visual quality to reduce the demand for CPU and GPU.
To activate it, you need to opt-in. To do this, go to the Epic Games Launcher and click on the three dots next to Fortnite in the library. From there, click “Options” and you will be given the option to uninstall “High Resolution Textures”, which can save 14GB of storage space and make the total size on the Fortnite hard drive only 17GB.
Epic also recommends that users playing Fortnite on older hardware use SSD or at least 6GB of RAM for a smoother experience.
The product was launched in Alpha yesterday (Tuesday, December 15).
Epic wrote: “The performance mode is achieved by reducing the visual quality in the game to increase the frame rate. This is a great way for users to enter and experience the game, as long as they meet the requirements of the Fortnite system.”
“In addition to having the option to uninstall high-resolution textures, players can now enter the game faster than ever before and still enjoy the game as expected.”
This is just Epic’s latest adjustment to Fortnite. On the other hand, the company has been providing support to PC gamers who have had high-end equipment capable of ray tracing since September.
Although we want to see game companies support the latest and best technology available, we are still happy to see that Epic also hopes that Fortnite will also become a valuable experience in low-end technology.
At the same time, the developer recently announced a new monthly subscription service called Fortnite Crew, which was released in early December along with the fifth season of Chapter 2.
After the finale of Chapter 2, Season 4, a record 15.3 million concurrent players gathered in the game to fight Marvel Baddy Galactus.
