This model takes over from other devices in this segment, such as the A53 which was officially launched in Europe a month ago.

This new OPPO A53 5G stands in the cheapest mid-range from the manufacturer, although it does not give up 5G connectivity. In addition, they leave us with a phone that has a screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, which will give a good experience when playing games.

A cheap mid-range with 5G

The OPPO A53 5G arrives with a design similar to the A53, but with changes, especially at the rear. It maintains a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a top left hole, in addition to the 8-megapixel front camera. This time it has a higher resolution because it has Full HD +. It is at the rear that we see changes in its design, with a new camera module.

One of the novelties of this phone is the presence of 5G, one of the cheapest 5G models. This is possible thanks to the use of Dimensity 720 as processor, one of MediaTek’s inexpensive 5G chips, which supports both NSA and SA 5G. The phone has a 4040mAh battery, which will give it good battery life. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side, as in the original A53.

The rear cameras have changed slightly on this OPPO A53 5G, basically the main sensor. It has three sensors on the back: a 16 Mpx main sensor, a 2 Mpx macro and a 2 Mpx depth sensor. The main one has been improved from 13 Mpx to 16 Mpx in this case. A few balanced cameras, no big surprises, but will work well.

Price and availability

This new OPPO A53 5G has already been presented in China officially, where you can book from Monday. Nothing is known about the possible launch of this model in Europe, although given the fact that there have been many launches in the brand’s A series in our country, it is possible that it will also happen.

The phone will go on sale in black, purple and blue. There are two versions of RAM and storage (4/64 GB and 6/128 GB), but only the price of the former is known, which is 1299 yuan, around 160 dollars to change.
