The holidays are just around the corner and World of Warships: Legends brings a series of events and the legendary battleship Massachusetts just in time for the occasion. There are plenty of things to get stuck in, including a new season of ranked battles, a special office project, and more.
The highlight of the update is undoubtedly the new Big Mamie campaign. The Premium Tier VII Battleship Massachusetts (affectionately known as “Big Mamie”) is an American classic of World War II. As one of the South Dakota-class battleships, it is armed with nine 406 mm cannons and has excellent armor protection. It also has an effective battery of secondary weapons that is unique to a US battleship. In real life she is preserved as a museum ship in Fall River, MA. For the first time, this campaign also has a second premium ship – the Japanese light cruiser Yahagi. The Yahagi is fast and well-equipped for Tier IV and is available from milestone 40 of the campaign. The Big Mamie campaign runs for six weeks and has 120 milestones to reach. There’s a lot to do during the holidays!
A special event is running in the background during the update to collect unique Icebreaker Coins for even more rewards, including the Tier VII Russian battleship Lenin. Known for its icebreaker armor on the bow, this ship is sturdy and mounts nine 16- Inch cannons in a forward arrangement similar to the British battleship Nelson. In addition to three rental ships of the legendary level, there are also some items of equipment: Conqueror, Worcester and Gearing! You can collect Icebreaker Coins by participating in various holiday events such as: B. in the new season of ranked battles, fighting in or against ships of the legendary tier, opening Super Santa containers or completing Icebreaker Havoc missions, which will be available after the Big Mamie campaign has been completed.
Speaking of ranked battles, we’ve changed the rules to mess things up! This time you can take part in 5v5 battles with a limit of one destroyer per team. It’s going to be an intense season, with each player’s actions having a greater impact on the team’s outcome.
We also remember a dramatic battle in the North Atlantic in December – the Battle of the North Cape. A special office project is available to unlock unique ice-covered arctic skins for three ships: Scharnhorst, Duke of York and Edinburgh. The Duke of York and Scharnhorst fought each other during the confrontation, and eventually the British ship won the tough duel. Although she was not involved in the battle, Edinburgh is closely related to the Belfast, another ship that fought in battle and is available to all players. Make sure you start this project as soon as possible. It will only be available until February 1st.
The holiday update offers a coveted function in the form of an in-game armor viewer! You can now see the layout and armor thickness of each ship in the game to create builds and counter-strategies that will help you maximize the effectiveness of your ships in battle.
