In this interview, the CEO of OnePlus said that they are working on a watch and in parallel working with Google to improve Wear OS and their communication with their Android TV phones and televisions.
This would mean that OnePlus launches a watch based on Wear OS but with the personalization layer Oxygen. Google has started to accept layers of personalization in its watches, with the Xiaomi Mi Watch being one of the examples.
Everything about this “OnePlus Watch” remains a mystery, they have not announced any functionality. The latest processor for wearable devices is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100, and it could be the candidate to lead the Chinese manufacturer’s first watch.
