5G has experienced a great expansion in Europe in 2020, being already available in almost all major operators and with an interesting offer in terms of mobiles, having gone through the whole high-end range and with strong growth in the mid-range.
Even though it looked like there were no more launches for 2020, Hisense presented what for us may be the rarest mobile of the year, combining two technologies that don’t seem to have the best of synergies. .
HiSense’s latest mobile is equipped with e-ink and 5G
Electronic ink is often the protagonist of e-book readers, sometimes we have seen Android phones incorporating these technologies. The most notable case is that of the Yotaphone, a mobile that had a screen on each side, but this company ended up shutting down.
Hisense, on the other hand, enjoys greater security in the market as it is an established TV manufacturer, which allows them to experiment more. This company h as already presented mobiles with a fairly attractive color ink screen, even if its latest terminal surprised us more.
The HiSense A7 is a terminal that combines the electronic ink screen with 5G connectivity. The reason? Well, we’re assuming beyond that to prove it’s possible or because putting the latest tech into fashion makes it sell more.
It is very difficult for us to find the meaning of existence because most of the user benefits with 5G lie in streaming content and online games thanks to its low latency, but if then the screen does not has only a valid refresh rate. reading and speaking by messenger is of little use.
For the rest, it is a terminal with a huge screen and between the low consumption and its 4770 mAh it should have a great autonomy. Its price of 1999 yuan, around 250.95 dollars at the time of the change, may make it attractive as a secondary mobile, whether it is equipped with 5G or not.
