Some gamers accidentally played the PS4 instead of the PS5 version of their game on the PS5. Now Sony is releasing a new feature that prevents this.
- A new function helps you to start the right version of cross-gen titles.
- Not every game supports the new feature.
- You have to select the version via a pop-up.
The PS5 of Sony is still quite new, so many games are coming out for the new and old console. If you buy a PS4 game, you can in some cases upgrade to the PS5 version for free. But that obviously leads to confusion. Some players have launched the PS4 version of a PS5 title on their PlayStation 5, but a new feature should prevent this.
A Twitter user noticed the function. You now have to confirm via a pop-up window whether you want to start the PS4 or PS5 version of a game. Before, it was pretty difficult to find out which version a game was.
Is yours PS5 too loud? Then this trick might help continue.
