Christmas is a time when the family normally comes together and comes together to enjoy it all together. Unfortunately, this year has been a bit more complex and limited, which does not prevent us from enjoying a video game together. For this, and thanks to Xbox Game Pass on console or PC, we have a large catalog of games available to try them out.
We have as an option all the free games that are available, and if you haven’t seen it you can do so here. In the catalog there are a lot of great games, especially the console one, but being the dates it is, we wanted to find 5 slightly smaller games that, if possible, can be enjoyed from the smallest to the oldest. .
Games for the whole family on Xbox Game Pass
Overcooked 2
Second part of this saga where it’s practically a nightmare in the kitchen. It is the only one of the Xbox Game Pass and for the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X it offers a special edition of both games, but it will give us a lot of fun in a story full of dangers and emotions.
To talk about Overcooked 2, it is a game in which we will have to go with our bus in the air, the volcano and even space to face the danger of zombie food. Through different levels where you will have to prepare certain dishes to earn points alone or with your friends.
The great advantage of playing with friends or family, whether online or locally, is that the levels will be much more chaotic, having to organize together to get the highest score. Up to 4 people can join this adventure which, if you want, will have several DLC to increase the hours of fun, the characters (each more rare than the previous one) and the possible recipes.
This title is available for console, Android and Windows 10, so whether we have the console, the PC or Ultimate, we can play wherever we want. Unfortunately, it doesn’t cross play with PS4 or Nintendo Switch, so there won’t be as many options in that direction, but spending a few hours with the family between laughs and spades is possible.
ClusterTruck
Four years ago, a game came out where the premise is to jump on trucks to get from one point to another without dying in the attempt. Those who followed some YouTubers or Streamers that year got to see it, and that includes the integration with Twitch which can modify it to do some really crazy actions.
Through the ice, the forest, the desert or more typical science fiction levels, it will be necessary to reach the end as soon as possible. With what we get, we can increase our skills and options, although the main premise will continue to be to move forward and jump into a world where one mistake can cause ruin.
Available for console, Windows 10 PC and android, we will have the opportunity to try this title. Only for one player, but with laughs guaranteed if we play with friends or family, the options have no limit in this particular title.
Untangle 2
Presented in 2018 as the second part of this game where our character is a ball of yarn. A new accompanied adventure will be the one that awaits us on a platform where distance will be a limit, and where cooperation will be the key to overcoming all dangers.
Unravel 2 is a completely co-op-based title, and while we can play it on our own, we’ll have to change and interact with both if we are to complete it. The puzzles will be clearly geared towards this cooperation, which makes it much more fun and valuable.
This game is not part of Xbox Game Pass as such, but is on EA Play, the EA service that arrived at Game Pass Ultimate on November 10. For this reason and for the moment, it is only available on console and on Android, the PC being on hold when the service arrives on this platform in 2021.
Overdrive at sunset
2014, a year after the release of the Xbox One and with it Sunset Overdrive, one of the first console games from Xbox Game Studios and produced by Insomniac. Since the Xbox One hasn’t been as popular as the competition, this title, and more given its release, may be unknown to many gamers, and Game Pass is the perfect opportunity to enjoy it.
It is a third person shooter in which we will have to face the mutants of an energy drink from Fizzco. Thanks to multiple skills and a fun movement with many options, we will have to advance through the city and eliminate our enemies. Also, as a detail for the Spanish speaking audience, one of the additional characters has the voice of Rubius, so if we like it we can explore it to find it.
Sunset Overdrive is available in Game Pass for console and PC, so it will be available with all versions of this service. At 7 years old, it won’t be a very demanding title in the case of PC, which may help more people get to know it.
Age of Empires II Definitive Edition
One of Microsoft’s quintessential PC sagas that will allow us to run our own army in a series of campaigns throughout history. Older gamers will remember this game and all the fun it offered. This time in a remastered edition with 4K resolution.
In addition to the classic campaign, a very special and unexpected update with a new game mode, a battle royale, was included a month ago. In January, we will receive a new expansion, seeing the commitment they have with this title so loved by many, giving even more hours of content.
It’s a legendary PC saga, and so it’s only going to be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC, but at a time when nostalgia takes so much, maybe now is a great time to remember it and grab some hours, or even show it to the smallest in the house.
Xbox Game Pass has a plethora of games, topping over 200 across several different genres. Plus, with everything going on in the world, perhaps spending time with the family playing and having fun or just remembering moments from the past can be a great opportunity to enjoy this vacation.
5 games are the ones we have named here, and surely a list of little gems that the catalog has varies a lot between each player, but the goal is always to play, have fun and enjoy a moment when the only concern is is the phase, zone or level at which we are. If we are not already, we can still subscribe to Xbox Game Pass from this link or from the console itself.
