The popular PC game provider Steam draws a conclusion again this year and has now published the list of the most successful games in 2020.
This type of publication of the most successful titles is available from Steam year after year, whereby this is measured on the basis of the turnover achieved on the platform. There are no concrete numbers or placements; Rather, the top-selling games on Steam are classified into four different categories.
The best titles can be found in the platinum category, in which Cyberpunk 2077 is only a newly released heavyweight – despite all the problems and the fact that it was only released in December. Incidentally, the platinum category mainly includes long-standing long-term favorites that have again generated substantial sales in 2020, including GTA V, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
With Among Us and Fall Guys there are also absolute indie hits in the Platinum group; they are also very successful commercially and ensure a corresponding rain of money for the developers.
