Marvel's Avengers will not announce its previously announced May release date.
Marvel's Avengers This is the second Square Enix game to be released and will be postponed today. Developer Crystal Dynamics announced that the superhero action game is now available worldwide on September 4th, with a delay of almost four months.
"When we started bringing you the vision of the Marvel Avengers, we promised to provide original story-driven campaigns in the next few years to attract cooperatives and engaging content," the developer wrote on the blog.
"To this end, we will spend extra development time focusing on fine-tuning and improving the game to the high standards that fans expect and deserve."
Today's announcement is not particularly surprising. The Avengers looked rough from the beginning, and although Crystal Dynamics later perfected the original demo, developers' messy information about the game's structure left us with many unresolved issues.
Hopefully this delay will help bring us a solid Avengers game. Marvel's Avengers is working on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia.
