There are times when you need to relax or be entertained for a while with a game on your mobile, but just at this moment, you have no game installed on your mobile. Finding and installing an interesting game is a good option, but if you are looking for something faster and without installing anything, the good news is that you already have several games on your Android mobile.
We called them the emergency games: small games integrated into various Android applications which you can have on your mobile and which in many cases do not even need an internet connection. And that’s it, sometimes it’s time to play Genshin Impact, and other times it’s enough with Dino Run.
Dino Run on Google Chrome
Dino Run is the popular dinosaur mini-game built into Google Chrome and appearing when you lack internet connection. To play you need to touch the dinosaur that appears above the error message, although you can also access it when you are logged in, by entering chrome://dino/
.
The goal of Dino Run is simple: jump the cacti that you encounter along the way and exceed your maximum score. To jump, on your mobile, you have to press your finger anywhere on the screen.
Google’s leaping cloud
Like Google Chrome, the Google app has its own mini-game that appears when you lose your internet connection. It is a Flappy Bird clon in which you take control of a leaping cloud that must avoid the birds that are on the way.
This mini-game can be accessed when you search in the Google app and there is no internet connection, at which point a cloud icon is displayed in the error message. Of course, this must be a time when you run out of internet connection, because if you just turn on airplane mode, the error is different and the mini-game does not appear.
Hot air balloon on Google Play
One of the latest Easter Egg mini-games that Google has introduced in its apps is Hot air balloon, on Google Play. Like the previous two, this mini-game appears when you are without an Internet connection, in Google Play, although it is not yet active for all users.
The concept of the game is similar to that of the previous two mini-games. You control a balloon that rises without stopping and you have to move it by sliding it sideways to dodge peak platforms, while collecting coins.
Android Easter Egg
If you have an Android mobile, you have an easter egg. Depending on which version of Android you have, you will get a different Easter egg. Those of the more recent versions of Android are a bit more incomprehensible (Android 11 is a kitten collecting game and Android 10 is a nonogram), but in case of emergency any game is welcome.
The mini-game in question varies, but the way to activate it is almost always the same: go to the System Information section of the settings and tap multiple times android version. This will show the logo of that version of Android, which you need to tap multiple times to open the mini-game.
Google Play Games built-in games
If you are looking for something a little more elaborate, in Google Play Games, an app that you probably already have installed on your mobile, you have a good collection of minigames such as lonely, PAC-MAN, snake or minesweeper.
You will find them in the Home tab, under the heading Integrated Google games. The best thing is that these games don’t need an internet connection and are already mobile ready, being ideal for emergencies. If you have an internet connection, you will find many other instant games in Google Play Games which require internet connection to access them (but they are not installed on mobile).
Extra: Telegram games
Telegram is another way to access a good collection of simple games. The messaging app has long supported HTML5 minigames and you can find them on specific channels like @gamee.
In order to use them, you will need to be connected to the internet, although playing any of these games is as easy as choosing one and starting to play. no need to download or install anything on the mobile. The list of games is varied, although most of them are just casual games.
Bonus: Facebook games
A similar offer is that of Facebook. In the Facebook Games section, accessible from the ☰ menu, you will see a list of instant games that you can enjoy without installing anything, as well as a lot more. To see the list of games, click on To play, on the top bar.
The list of Facebook games is quite long and is cataloged by categories, so it will be easy for you to find card games, construction, puzzles and any other specific type that you can use without installing anything, from Facebook.
