Nier Automata reveals its final secret three years after its release

Autómata, Final, NieR, release, reveals, Secret, Years

Some games take years to unlock all of their secrets. Such is the case with Nier: Automata, who so far have carefully buried the last in their lines of code. It is now finally discovered and makes it possible to avoid the entire story of the game in order to discover a very special ending.

As you probably know, Nier: Automata has multiple extensions. One of them allows you, if you wish, to help other players finish the game. Your storage is then compiled in the form of an AI that provides assistance to a player by making the request. But to get to this question, familiar to Yoko Taro RPG lovers, you had to quit the game several times … and therefore play it for a few dozen hours.

The discovery of Lance McDonald, accustomed to searching for and finding faults of all kinds, actually enables us to jump straight to that question. Shortly after the first boss is defeated, the player actually performs a combination of actions in the back of the room that will transport him to the end of the game. The feat was captured on video and partly shared on Twitter.

Obviously, the mistake quickly spread to Yoko Taro, the game’s creator. The latter shared the said video and commented on the latter of “three years and ten months”. This is the time it took players to unravel the secrets of Nier: Automata, and perhaps uncover its final secret.
