The suggestion seems simple. The television should show you a moving image, give it a consistent sound, and good, meet and decorate your home. This has been the case since the invention of TV. This year at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, we saw the newest and best TVs. They are complex, exciting.
If you own a 4K TV now, there's a good chance it fits best with the things you want to do with TV — watch movies, enjoy sports, watch the darkness. At CES this year, some of the biggest tech companies in the world have announced that the next generation of TVs will look very similar to the last. Count to 4K the solution. Depending on HDR and Dolby Vision. Lots of local soft spots. All of these qualities on television that seemed strange for a few years past, and now at a level. In the coming months, the latest TVs from LG, Samsung, Sony, and others will hit the market without a lot of new things to offer.
This is bad news. There is a new generation of TVs offering 8K resolution, screen-mounted speakers, and new display technologies such as MicroLED. This is all exemplified at CES, even though it doesn't seem to matter to the average person. No 8K content can be displayed on new 8K TVs. Most reasonable people use soundbars instead of their TV speakers, and microLED technology is not ready for the start time. That said, most of what the big TV makers do in the market this year is just an enhanced version of what they offer last year and last year. And those old TVs are cheaper than before.
If you wish to spend money on a new TV, there are some fun ways to do it. LG continues to push boundaries with its OLED system, and its self-contained TV will ship this year for an amazing $ 60,000. Samsung is selling an expanded line of 8K TVs-And remember, there's no 8K content to play on – for thousands of dollars. Sony is increasing its Master Series in a new 48-inch format. Vizio joins the OLED game with a brand new product being introduced this year. TCL is reviving its popular series 6 with mini-LED lighting that promises the same kind of performance as the OLED display.
All of these new TVs are awesome and good, but none of them really change. In the coming years, we will see microLEDs coming to market. We will see OLED displays that serve as wallpaper. We might see a light that illuminated the field tracking your eyeballs and looking like a hologram. But for now, the cheap 4K TV you bought three years ago is almost the same as that of the young marketers. So don't worry about buying a TV this year. And if you do, buy the old one for the price.
