Henderson says that “League Play is scheduled for this quarter, so between now and March. We should have it [en] maybe the second season, it could be in the middle of the second season, and obviously, if not, it will be the third season. ” He went on to say that “League Play, they told me, is for the first quarter of 2021.”
The first quarter of the year runs from the beginning of January to the end of March, which means that if Henderson is right, League Play will be available before the beginning of April. The earliest we can reasonably expect the ranked playlist to arrive is towards the end of February, when the first se ason of Black Ops Cold War draws to a close, though as Henderson points out, there’s no guarantee the mode will arrive in the second. season.
It’s also worth remembering that while Henderson’s leaks have proven accurate in the past, without an official notice from Activision or Treyarch, it’s important to take information as is with a pinch of salt.
The predecessor to Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, did not include League Play, raising the community’s hopes that the latest Call of Duty will include some sort of classified mode, particularly in the wake of the system debate. skill-based matchmaking game.
