On February 23, 2021 the time has come: Disney+ is being expanded to include the “Star” adult offer. Disney+ Star then includes films and series that do not fit into the classic, child-friendly Disney concept. And now Disney + is showing in a first trailer for Star which exciting series and films subscribers can look forward to in the future!
These series and films will supplement the Disney + range from the end of February!
From February 23rd, Disney + users will be able to enjoy some exciting new series on Disney + Star. This includes, for example, “Big Sky”, a series of “Big Sky” that only started in the US on ABC in November 2020Big Little Lies“- and “The Undoing“Creator David E. Kelley.
One of the leading roles in the thriller series takes on “Vikings“-Star Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha) and it’s about the search for 2 missing sisters who were kidnapped by a truck driver in remote Montana.
The teen drama “Love, Victor”, which is set in the world of the 2018 film “Love, Simon”, will also migrate to Disney + Star. It didn’t appear in the US until June 2020 Hulu.

Series fans will also be able to discover numerous series classics from recent years and decades on Disney + Star. Find something like “24“with Kiefer Sutherland, the mystery classic”Lost“and the suburban satire”Desperate Housewives“on Disney + Star their new German streaming home.

Some innovations can also be expected on the film side. The trailer above initially only shows the “Die Hard” series. All in all, Star will expand the Disney + offering by 450 titles at the launch. Over the course of the first year, this will become 1000 additional titles, which will roughly double the current Disney + offering.
The new adult section Disney + Star will be found on the home page alongside Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic and will receive parental controls and PIN protection for profiles.
