Monster Hunter Rise Time Limited Demo Now Live; Pre-Order Bonuses

The digital event for Monster Hunter Rise showed off a number of monsters, features, gameplay and more for the upcoming Action-RPG. There was also the announcement that the free demo is now live until January 31st.

New monster Goss Harag!

A new trailer was shown featuring more of the game and then the livestream began. Capcom showed off a number of Monsters during the broadcast:

Goss Harag – A new monster debuting in Monster Hunter Rise, has the power to breathe ice to form blades to attack.

Lagombi – Can slide on its belly making it very fast and it can toss giant snow balls.

On top – A long neck, almost worm-like monster with plenty of teeth. Lives in dark places such as caves and has electric abilities.

Great Baggi – Kind of looks a cross between a bird and a dinosaur, can douse hunters in a liquid with a sleep effect.

Barioth – A flying wyvern with fangs and spikes. It uses its spikes to manoeuvre around the ice to rush at enemies. Can deal great damage with its claws and jaw.

Mangnamalo – The flagship monster of MHR. Can fling a purple gas which ignites and has a sharp coat of armor.

The livestream also demonstrated Wyvern Riding, yes you can lasso yourself a Wyvern and even use the ropes to control and attack other monsters. Or simply use it to travel around.

There were also previews of the different game characters including the loveable Palico as well as previewing a new training area.

Demo – Now Available

The demo is now live on the Nintendo eShop for a limited time only, you can play up until January 31st. The demo will allow players to experience two training missions which includes Wyvern Riding and basic training. You can also try out two hunts, for the Great Izuchi and the Mizutsune. Mizutsune has an interesting ability to create bubbles that will hinder hunters movement.

The demo will also allow online play, meaning you can team up with others and all 14 Monster Hunter Weapon types.
