I know there is a lot of desire for GTA VI but although it is happening which seems to take a long time we have to settle for the “ improved ” version of GTA V. You know Rockstar has promised big improvements visuals and performance for the new Sony and Microsoft consoles. So aim for it to be at least a visually appealing game. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen anything yet to show that we can wait.
So it makes sense that those looking for gold in the source code would focus on data mining to hint at what we might expect from this update.
GTA V with Red Dead Redemption 2 graphics?
One of the insiders who discovered something interesting is Tez2, who in the GTA Forums commented that the last update of GTA Online brings with it files that give the possibility of use Red Dead Redemption 2 Rage engine resources. Can you imagine what this could mean?
However, just because the game has the option to run another game’s engine doesn’t mean it does, as Tez2 itself points out, there are a lot of options so it could be there; The user interface uses the base code of the game starring Arthur Morgan.
@ alloc8or discovered some new structures that were added with the recent update for the standalone version of GTA Online, and one of them is “rage :: fwuiMessageBase”, which is from the RAGE version of RDR2…
The enhanced edition will likely use the RAGE version of RDR2. However, the user interface might use the RDR2 code base, while the rest remains the same.
Similarly, the boys of GTA Base, who say they’ve found a new character transfer system, as well as a potentially improved user interface with a new landing page. For now, the best bet is to wait and see what lies ahead in these improved versions, the data found in the code is not decisive enough to guarantee anything.
In fact, until Rockstar speaks out, it’s all a mystery. As long as the final game arrives or not, we can enjoy the new update available for GTA Online.
