Concept art could give clues to new Xbox exclusive
Microsoft has made a big investment in studios and now the Xbox platform landscape is better than ever, but one of the studios that has yet to announce their new project is InXile entertainment. Following the critical and player success of the studio’s last title, Wasteland 3, the talent team based in Newport, Calif., reportedly worked on an AAA RPG.
On the other hand, it also looks like this RPG would have a setting Steampunk, and after the hiring of combat director of God of the war (Santa Monica Studios) Dean rymerYou would think that this new game would have more action and not be based on turn-based attacks, as is usually the case in inXile. Now, the new images of one of the artists of the studio make our imaginations fly.
Thanks to Twitter user Sn0w1n, I found in the work of Aleksandar Danilovac, environmental artist for inXile Entertainment, who exhibited on his ArtStation. In it, Danilovac shows a Victorian street with Steampunk elements that we want to get lost in now.
We even see a video of more than 2 minutes where part of this street is covered, with snow on its sidewalks and shops of all kinds, even esoteric ones. The level of detail is very high and we realize the talent of Microsoft studios, so the next Xbox Series X | S will gain in quality in an incredible way.
Danilovac called this work Gifford Street, and was inspired by a colleague’s concept art (Rowena wang) during his previous employment at Think Tank Training Center. “Good morning all! Here is my 2020 video game environment demo that I created during my mentorship at Think Tank Training Center“.
He also showed the materials used for the different objects in the set, and the result is exciting; Maybe a lot of gamers prefer photo realism, but a good artistic design that is more immersive and puts you fully in this fantasy world is much more important.
Of course, I’m not saying these are images from the new title inXile Entertainment, far from it, but as it happened with Shamal, one of the projects of Eric Persson from The Initiative, it’s interesting to see what these creatives, these artists, are capable of creating and making us dream of fantastic worlds full of life and detail.
We really want to see what they’re up to from InXile Entertainment, who along with Compulsion Games have some unannounced plans that could get the first teaser this year 2021. We already know that Aaron Greenberg he has ad that there are surprises this year that they have to show and that they are very excited.
