On Monday, Activision announced plans to offer a free preview of call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Wardifferent zombies modes. Starting Thursday January 14th, players will be able to download a standalone version of the Cold WarBattle.net, Xbox Live, and PlayStation Network’s Zombies menu. Players will then be able to play Zombies modes for free until January 21st if they need to purchase anything call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to continue their undead hunt.
Free access includes several types of zombies, depending on the platform. All Zombies players can experience the game’s starter map, The Machine, which expands on the very first Call of Duty Zombies map from World at war. Players can also test Cranked, which gives zombies a timer that forces players to kill monsters within the time limit or risk them exploding.
Onslaught mode is also available during the free access period. However, Onslaught is currently exclusive to PlayStation, so only players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 can try it out. Onslaught is a two-player zombies mode that forces players to kill enemies in a specific area of the map before proceeding.
Free access players can play online with strangers or friends until their access period expires.
