The machine
An abandoned World War II-era laboratory in Poland containing a massive particle collider has opened a rift between inexplicable monstrosities and animated undead forces. As part of the international Requiem Response Team, you’ll infiltrate the DZ and attempt to survive waves of zombies over multiple rounds as you either uncover the secrets of “The Machine” or exfiltrate early with life intact (and some great rewards to boot).
With its start area as an homage to the original World at war The Zombies Card That Started It All: The Machine is a turn-based zombies experience where up to four players can stop by and try to survive the horrors that await them. Work together using dozens of weapons, deadly and tactical gear, powerful scorestreaks, and special field upgrades – like an energy mine or instant healing from the healing aura – that are charged up by killing zombies.
If you have newly activated Black Ops Cold War Weapons through the Battle Pass system, bring them into battle through your startup loadout and upgrade along the way. You can also equip yourself with a variety of Wall Buy weapons, take a chance with a random weapon from the Mystery Box, or give any weapon a serious boost through the Pack-a-Punch machine.
Cranked
If you’re looking for a little more urgency to stay alive in The Machine without being overwhelmed by waves of zombies, give Cranked a try.
You and your squad will be flown with a cargo of your choice. However, as soon as the first zombie falls on the ground, the cranked timer begins to tick. Your operator will explode if he doesn’t kill another zombie before the timer reaches zero, and the timer gets shorter and shorter as the game progresses! Be on the lookout for the Cranked Timer Power-up which will temporarily freeze the timer for all players.
Watch the clock – and your six – to survive this fast-paced new zombies game mode … and make sure to use the local ping system when playing with your team.
