Federal Prosecutor’s Office Announced Wednesday that a U.S. postal operator was convicted in a case where consoles were stolen from the mail in the spring.
Zoheb A. Deura, 34, of Derby, Connecticut, was fined $ 20,000 and given three years probation. He has to spend the first nine months in domestic detention. In October he pleaded guilty to having stolen numerous packages between February and April 2020, including those with “PlayStation and Nintendo gaming devices” as well as an Apple iPhone and a computer.
Deura also stole packages of shoes and clothing; Following an investigation by the Inspector General of the Postal Service, Deura was charged and found guilty on October 21 of misappropriating mail by a postal worker. Deura has since left the postal service.
