A few details have been uncovered by dataminers for multiplayer mode in Cyberpunk 2077 which includes Heists and Deathmatches.
Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer Mode Including Heist May Have Been Uncovered By Dataminers
Recently dataminers have appeared to have found some clues relating to the upcoming multiplayer modes in Cyberpunk 2077. In the code there were references to two multiplayer modes, a Heist mode and what looks to be a Deathmatch mode. The details were posted on DSO Gaming
The file also shares how multiplayer will work with these modes, as it will rely on a P2P connection rather than dedicated servers. That’s not to say there won’t be dedicated servers in future for multiplayer, but for there particular modes it looks like peer-to-peer.
Multiplayer mode has been no secret as CD Projekt Red had revealed last year they were working on multiplayer but as a “standalone project”. There was no release window for this mode either. But with the clues from the datamined code, sounds like there will be different modes available.
CD Projekt Red recently announced they would be concentrating on fixing the current issues with the game, ahead of releasing a free DLC for the game. Currently there is no word on what the DLC will contain.
