Game news Pokemon Diamond and Pearl – a remake for the Nintendo Switch?
For a few hours now, rumors have been circulating on the Internet that a remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl could see the light of day on Nintendo Switch in 2021.
This rumor arose from the testimony of a source close to the company that was then passed on by the Spanish website Pokémon Center. Indeed, According to the source (which has therefore chosen to remain anonymous), The Pokémon Company will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the saga with a remake of the Diamond and Pearl generation. According to the latter, the announcement will be made next February during The Pokémon Company’s “Pokémon Day,” and the title will be available on Nintendo Switch in 2021 with no further details.
The source also states that this remake is abandoning the capture system set up by the Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee episode in order to revert to a more classic capture system. Note, however, that this new information will have to be picked up with giant tweezers as The Pokémon Company or Nintendo have not officially announced anything.
As a reminder, Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl are two titles released for Nintendo DS in 2007. They gave players the opportunity to explore a whole new region, the Sinnoh Region, and to conquer a new generation of Pokémon, including the legendary Dialga and Palkia.
