in the Jet Kave Adventurethe stone age meets science fiction. We tell the story of Kave, a chief who was banished from his own tribe. When you meet him, Kave wanders aimlessly through a gorge until he comes across a destroyed spaceship. Instead of running away, his curiosity forces him to spy on the alien who is trying to fix the ship, for which he pays almost the final price.
When Kave comes by, he rummages through the rubble and finds a working jetpack. He also learns of the alien’s plans to destroy the island. Between this knowledge and the newly discovered alien technology, he quickly transforms from exile to the only caveman standing a chance against the alien threat …
With Jet Kave AdventureWe wanted to make a game that would bring together everything fans love about 2.5D platformer. That’s why we have a lot of skill-based action with the Jetpack platform in focus. We have designed challenging boss fights, clever secrets and exciting set pieces on collectibles that have been carefully placed to test your keen eye and quick reflexes. Most importantly, however, we made sure that the gameplay flowed – if you’re good enough, you can find a rhythm for each level and practically finish it off without stopping.
While our game was inspired by prehistoric platformer that we enjoyed in our younger years, it also offers some modern solutions. The two examples I want to highlight are achievements and online rankings.
They might not sound like much at first, but we’ve put a lot of thought into making them a worthwhile addition to the game. Some of the achievements are challenging, others secret, some unconventional, but all of them are designed to help you get the most out of the game mechanics. The rankings, on the other hand, allow you to compare the skills of your friends and your friends in three categories: time, collectibles and challenges with no harm, adding a competitive level to the platform.
And if you’re looking for an old-school difficulty level, Arcade Mode is the place for you. This classic experience introduces a number of changes to the life system and control points, and increases the chances of seeing the good ol ‘Game Over screen. It’s tough but fair!
