Employees of publishing giants Activision Blizzard Has donated 1.6 billion US dollars to many charitable organizations.
The company stated in a news on its website that it has donated $200 each of the 8013 employees of Activision Blizzard, Activision, Blizzard and King to their chosen charity. As a result, 3,211 organizations received donations. On average, each charity will receive approximately US$498.
Organizations that have benefited from these donations include Gamers Outreach (supporting hospitalized children) and the LGBTQ suicide hotline Trevor project and Save the Children, what they do on cans.
“At Activision Blizzard, we realize that we have a responsibility to give back to the communities in which we operate,” CEO Robert Kotick and President and Chief Operating Officer Daniel Alegre said in a statement.
“From developing employment pathways for veterans, to eliminating racial inequality, to supporting critical health care programs, we are committed to making a difference. We believe that we can truly connect with the world and with a purpose and meaning that other companies cannot match Interact with it. We continue to thank many of you for sharing our commitment to change the world in a lasting way.
“We hope to commemorate this unique year (when people need more than ever) in the past year: we are donating company funds and redistributing them for the end of the year Funds from company activities are used for Activision Blizzard’s holiday dedication program.”
