For several years, Google has been transforming its mapping application, Google Maps, into a sort of virtual Swiss Army knife, where you can consult more and more things. The latest arrival in Europe is a function that has already existed for a long time in other countries, the fuel price.
Checking the price of gasoline and diesel
As you probably already know, in Google Maps we can search by types of premises, stores and buildings. One of the things we can look for that is very useful is where there is a gas station.
The novelty is that in Europe we already have the possibility to see the price of fuel in each of the stations, simply by clicking on the icon of the gas station that we want to consult. To see the price of all fuels, we need to follow these steps:
- We go to the area where we want to look.
- We are looking for gas stations.
- We click on the icon of the one we want.
- At the bottom is the name with the price of unleaded 95 octane gasoline.
If we want to see other prices click on the bottom map and the file will open, where we will be told the price of diesel diesel and 98 octane unleaded gasoline and LPG (liquefied gas for vehicles).
We’re not sure how accurate this Google tool will be, but it can help us compare between stations before we go rather than knowing the price they’ll charge us by the penny.
