The most popular paid battle royale in the entire industry is undoubtedly ‘PUBG’. The title has a much more adult audience than we can see in ‘Fortnite’ or ‘Apex Legends’. Its creators are aware that the game is a gold mine, so they decided to expand the universe with other games derived from ‘PUBG’ far beyond ‘PUBG Mobile’

We had already seen the first look at ‘The Callisto Protocol’, a title within the horror genre of which we only know that it has the direction of the creator of the ‘Dead Space’ saga. Now we know that this is not the only game that will arrive and will be based on the ‘PUBG’ universe.

Kim Chang-Han, CEO of Krafton, a company that owns the rights to PUBG Corporation, reported that a new game for PC and home consoles will arrive in 2022. Chang-Han revealed the exclusive to Bloomberg in a new interview which confirms the expansion plans of the owners of the rights of ‘PUBG’.

A bright future for ‘PUBG’ fans

Kim Chang-Han also confirmed that in this nascent 2021 a new game for mobile devices will arrive. These announcements are clearly intended to increase the value of Krafton’s stock on the Krafton Stock Exchange. In fact, this was the central axis of the interview that the executive had with Bloomberg, but that also left great announcements.

‘PUBG’ is one of the most relevant titles in countries like India where it is a sensation. Its mobile version has also been well received globally and boasts over 600 million players, so the new mobile title sounds like a wonderful business idea for Krafton and PUBG Corporation in the near future.
