‘Cyberpunk 2077’ promised to be the game of 2020 and the closure that PS4 and Xbox One users expected for the last generation of consoles. Unfortunately, this was not the case and the title hit the market plagued with bugs that made its experience on these consoles very difficult to enjoy.

This led to Sony removing ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ from the PlayStation Store indefinitely. Today marks a month since that decision and the game is still out of Sony’s digital store. The only way to enjoy the game on PS4 or PS5 is through a physical copy or having purchased a digital copy before December 18 2020.

CD Projekt Red reports that they are still working to bring ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ back to the PlayStation Store and a big patch that improves the experience is expected this month. The Polish studio confirmed that the game should be what was promised in February with the arrival of the second patch of the year. This is something that fans of the title hope will be fulfilled and will not be just promises.

A more than rough launch

The launch of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ was far from being what was thought and the Polish study has had to overcome problems related to the price of its shares within the stock market and even possible lawsuits. The studio CEO apologized for the problems and admitted that they did not spend all the necessary time on the PS4 and Xbox One versions.

This is something that can be verified by comparing the performance of the PC version with that of home consoles. The truth is that after a month out of the PlayStation Store there are no signs that Sony will allow the return of the title before its bugs are corrected.
