We had the opportunity to hold in our hands one of the newest flagships in Razer’s high-end keyboard. The BlackWidow V3 is a product full of quality, which is not only suitable for everyone because of its high prices.
The BlackWidow model has been Razer’s top-of-the-line keyboard for some time. And of course this new version does not escape the rule: elegance with a sober anthracite-colored chassis. We are entitled to a metal plate for the key holder that remains in one piece in the tone and texture of the plastic of the chassis. The only touch of color that brightens up your office is of course the RGB lighting. Even there, Razer is sober with something very simple that offers relatively low brightness.
The top of the manufacturer’s range
We feel that Razer’s engineers wanted to emphasize the luxury aspect as much as possible without overdoing it. It works out. Incidentally, we have a full-size keyboard format that can boast of offering the user a palm rest that blends in perfectly with the overall look. On the other hand, we regret that for the price we do not have a magnet system or other fastening system that would allow its “hook” to be facilitated.
It’s a shame because, by the way, it’s flawless and we can find everything you’d expect from a high-end, like multimedia buttons, including the irreplaceable sound wheel which is particularly high quality here. We can say it for the other keys too, thanks to a double injection ABS process that is more resistant to time and dirt. We’re not telling you that it is possible to eat a burger on your desk without risking a stain there, but everything will be done to avoid it in its construction.
Loud but so efficient
The BlackWidow V3 is equipped with homemade Razer Green switches that have a good resistance and therefore inevitably have a characteristic sound. Nothing serious, we get used to it very quickly. Razer specifies an activation force of 50 grams for this model with an activation point of 1.9 mm. Clearly, we do not recommend using it in an office (for your co-workers) or anywhere that requires quiet as it is a 100% click switch. This is great office equipment, but only if the people next to you don’t mind. For games we’re interested in here, it turns out to be perfect and is an ideal ally regardless of your type of preference. Hard to regret purchasing this particular model unless you are looking for peace of mind.

ONREUX BUT VERY QUALITATIVE Razer is striking again very hard with this new version of its BlackWidow and we clearly have a high-end product in our hands that exudes strength and reliability. The switches are just superb and will become the weapon of choice in your favorite games. The only regret ultimately concerns the palm rest, which is not necessarily the height for the price, especially due to the lack of a mounting system. |
