Capcom found two major problems in Monster Hunter World for PC: Iceborne.

Soon after its launch, Monster Hunter World: Ice Source Since then, players on the PC have encountered many problems. The biggest and undoubtedly the most shocking mistake is the one that puts saved files at risk of deletion.

Players at the time suggested that this was related to a file format change in Monster Hunter World's saved files, which meant that people who did not play the game between the change and the Iceborne release would eventually save files that the game could not save. t realize.

Capcom didn't comment on the issue at the time, but thankfully they now disclose that it is working on the issue. In the Steam post, the developer confirmed how it works, adding that this issue is especially true when saving data has never been updated since October 30, 2018.

Capcom advises players to close the game when the infamous error message appears, so it sounds like the patch will convert outdated saved files of affected files to the new format.

Another issue that has been widely reported is that after the release of Iceberg, the performance has dropped abnormally, often intermittently, even for those who do not own the expansion and have not been to the Hoarfrost Reach area. Capcom acknowledged the problem at the time and now confirms that it is being addressed.

Players are skeptical again because of the unusually high CPU usage. Both issues will be fixed in the 10.12.01 patch, which Capcom said will be released "in the next few days."
