Maybe at some point even with a stable WiFi connection you opened the Netflix app and it gave you trouble. The series does not charge, connection problems and mistakes where you don’t know where they came from.
We will explain how you can check if the connection issues are from the Netflix app or if, on the contrary, your network is the problem. In this way, we will have information about the state of the network in a simple way.
Checking the connection status on Netflix
Although this is not a very well known option, Netflix allows users to check connection status. This can be done from the app’s own settings, without having to install anything else. If we want to check if our mobile connects correctly to the Netflix server, just follow these steps.
- Open the Netflix app
- Go to ‘more’
- Open the “ app settings ”
- Below, in the diagnostic, click on ‘check network’
- Press “start test”
Ready, the test is pretty straightforward and gives us the only two data we need: if we are connected to the Internet and if we are connected to the Netflix server. If we have a network connection but the Netflix server is not responding, we will not be able to view the content, even if our internet connection is working fine.
This is a simple process that we can do when we are having problems connecting with Netflix, to detect if it is a problem with the app or with our WiFi (or data connection).
