With the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft has a service on offer, which is often referred to as Netflix games. The game subscription is very popular.
The Xbox Game Pass is clearly turning out to be a successful model for Microsoft. This has now become evident again w ith the help of new figures that the company announced in a conference when it announced its current business figures.
The well-known analyst and insider Daniel Ahmad has now published some of the information via Twitter – and these are quite impressive. According to this, the Xbox Game Pass has a whopping 18 million subscribers. Some of them are likely to make use of Microsoft’s inexpensive three-month test period, but for the company this number can certainly be seen as an absolute success and as a sign that such a model can also work in the gaming area.

Apart from that, the annual report provided other interesting figures from the gaming sector. With game content, the Xbox division has accordingly achieved sales of $ 3.5 billion; 2 billion are accounted for by third-party games and are associated with corresponding costs for Microsoft, but for first-party titles this still leaves sales of 1.5 billion dollars.
And: Even if Xbox Live Gold last caused a shit storm due to a planned price increase, which was withdrawn shortly afterwards, the paid membership is still doing well. According to the annual report, there are more than 100 million active users per month. These are not only on Xbox consoles, but also on the PC and in the mobile area.
