This Samsung app reduces the latency of bluetooth headphones

Good Lock has been available in Europe for months, Samsung’s personalization app. On the occasion of the update to Android 11 with One UI 3, the brand has updated this application and you are now updating the modules that we are inside. This is the case with SoundAssistant, the sound module, which thus obtains new functions.

SoundAssistant is the module of Good Lock sound and volume manager on the phone, which allows you to play audio from two apps at the same time or customize the volume panel. Samsung is launching an update for this module which includes new functions.

Samsung introduces new features in SoundAssistant

The new version of SoundAssistant, with number 3.6.06.0, has already started its deployment. Samsung leaves us with some improvements in this module in this new version of it. One of the functions is the Bluetooth metronome, which will allow synchronization of audio and video when using a Bluetooth device. This function also comes with a slider for said synchronization, to determine the delay of the sound.

It is a function that can be particularly useful when using inexpensive or lower quality bluetooth headphones, which have worse latency and therefore worse synchronization with audio and pictures. Being able to adjust this manually will give the user more control in SoundAssistant.

Samsung present in this module update a function called Media Manner Mode (mute multimedia content in Spanish), which is a mode to turn off multimedia sounds when your smartphone is in silent or vibrate mode. This feature ensures that the phone is silent at all times and that there is no sound from your apps.

For users with One UI 3 or higher, the new version of SoundAssistant can now be officially downloaded from the Samsung Galaxy Store. You can therefore take advantage of these new functions. The surprising thing is that the brand has also removed several functions from the module, like the floating button or the selfie stick. In addition, the logo of the application is renewed, following the style of the new Good Lock, more colorful.
