Fate 2 Season 13 will bring new armor from Trials of Osiris, and Bungie started teasing that loot on Friday Some images were posted on the game’s Twitter account.
Bungie’s weekly blog post on Thursday walked players through some new features Fate 2 in its next season starting February 9th. And now the studio has given players a look at a loot update for Trials of Osiris. This came as a surprise to many as players didn’t expect the Trials of Osiris reward pool to change until Season 14.
Trials against Osiris came back Fate 2 with Season of the Worthy last year, Fate 2Spring season. Bungie originally planned that the Trials’ current loot would hold up through spring 2021, and it wasn’t a full year yet. However because of Destiny 2: Beyond LightThe delay, season 13, now falls in the awkward position of being a hybrid winter / spring season. would have Beyond the light Started on time, the players would have prepared for the 14th season sometime in March.

This time difference is easy to see if you look at the “Sunset” performance level for the current weapons and armor parts of Trials. Players can only upgrade current test items to Level 1360, while the current cap for Season 11 is 1260. This means that players will be able to keep using their old test weapons until at least the end of Season 13 – and possibly longer, depending on how much maximum power increases over the next season.
We’ve never seen this kind of overlap with the gun’s sunset as guns are only supposed to last 12 months with this new system.
As for the prey itself, the images are too dark to definitively identify its origin. But the armor pieces look ornate, and it seems that players will be dealing with the Cabal Empire again from season 13 onwards. These armor silhouettes fit that aesthetic.
It is also not confirmed that new Trials of Osiris weapons will accompany this armor set. But the current weapons and armor sets both expire at 1360, which suggests we’re getting replacements at the same time.
Players will learn more about it Fate 2 Season 13 – and likely taking a look at Trials of Osiris loot – when Bungie launches the reveal trailer on Feb.2.
