Prison Tycoon: Under New Management is a modern reinterpretation of the franchise for consoles and PCs this year.
Publisher Ziggurat Interactive has announced the development of Prison Tycoon: Under New Management for PC and console release this year.
The game is the latest and all-new chapter in the Prison Tycoon franchise, focusing on the challenges of rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates back into healthy, functioning members of society.
The game is being developed by Abylight Studios, which have produced projects like Hyper Light Drifter, Tiny Thief and Super Hydorah.
Prison Tycoon: Under New Management challenges players to build and maintain a successfully run prison – complete with security checkpoints, watchtowers, prison cells and inmate services.
Would-be directors need to maintain a balance between service and safety while striving to operate an efficient facility while keeping inmates on the path to reintegration.
To expand their prison and hone their skills, players must secure funding from government agencies, manage the flow of resources, and keep the staff happy while they properly care for their charges.
