The game pass gives edge games a chance to find audiences and people to discover new experiences.
There is a strong argument that “game pass” cannot be an excuse for bad games. The point is that you should not tolerate and play bad games just because they are on the service you have paid for. Time is precious, and you don’t want to spend time on things that don’t enrich you in some way. Game Pass will not suddenly make you a favorite rope game. However, doing so is to provide a better opportunity for the split game to find a discerning audience. The medium is such a game.
I really like the slow burning of Bloober Team, which is similar to the horror of walking simulation. Its dual world mechanism adds next-generation talents to some quite ancient games. But not everyone thinks so. Comments are everywhere, and it is absolutely certain that this disagreement will continue to the game media, which gives The Medium a melody.
The medium size is not the full price version, but it is still $45, which is spent on things you are not sure about. Before the release of Game Pass, many people would not play The Medium at all. This may be their game, but digital distribution with limited refund options is risky. So far, Bloober’s game titles have been mixed (I like “Lars of Fear”, but I didn’t consider other titles from the studio), so you can’t rely on their games to reach a certain standard-at least not yet.
The game pass fundamentally eliminates the need for your brain to check expenditures. Now you can try medium and other AA, B and even C games for free. As I said at the beginning, I’m not suggesting that you proceed with caution and waste a lot of time (although the games on Game Pass are at least pretty good), but games in between are on the edge of buying rather than buying. They suddenly became a simple choice when they used Game Pass.
This is not rocket science. I haven’t found the hidden secret of Game Pass. It’s just that Game Pass is usually regarded as a service that allows you to play a lot of games, but in fact it is a service that allows you to play a lot of different games. You may never buy a lot of games, but you may actually enjoy it in the end. Even love.
Microsoft announced this year that it will launch a large number of games on Xbox consoles, many of which will be through Game Pass, but most of them are not certain when attracting a large audience. Flight Simulator will be launched this summer, and this is probably the most split game on the console. My wise person in charge told me that throughout history, I have purchased multiple flying games and found almost every one of them to be very dull-even gun games. But a part of my brain that likes beautiful graphics is very keen to fly over my house, my old school, my university, where I vacationed when I was 12, the city in Gotham Racing 2 and so on.
I don’t need to pay $50 for the flight simulator, but I can download it on Game Pass and fly over Edinburgh. Who knows, I might find that I like flight simulation games now and eventually spend money to expand. This is a victory for me and a victory for Microsoft.
That is the beauty of Game Pass. If you find something even a little interesting, you can try it. You don’t need to spend a lot of game time and big money, arrange by numbers, group by focus, 8/10 assured games jointly developed by 10 studios. They will still be there, but maybe try different things from time to time.
