After months of anticipation, Apex Legends Season 8 will finally begin tomorrow. While the most notable update at the start of this new season will likely come with the addition of Fuse, the latest Apex character, a variety of other changes will be rolling out tomorrow as well.
Ahead of the official start of Season 8, which begins tomorrow, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, Respawn Entertainment released the patch notes for the latest game update today. In addition to breaking down how Fuse will play, the blog post also mentioned the game’s new 30-30 Repeater, which is the newest weapon being added to Apex Legends. Additionally, Kings Canyon, which is probably the shooter’s most iconic map, is being slightly overhauled once again with a massive ship now appearing in the middle of the battlefield.

The magazine will also be updated in Apex Legends Season 8. This time around, players will be able to collect Legendary Magazines that will allow them to have much more ammo than normal. This is something that many longtime fans have been requesting for quite some time and it should prove much more useful in prolonged shootouts.
Overall, Season 8 doesn’t seem to be reinventing the wheel, but it really isn’t necessary. Fuse looks like it could be a great addition to the game and it should be a lot of fun to play. Its addition, along with the variety of smaller changes, should make Apex Legends Season 8 feel pretty fresh.

Apex Legends is out now and can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. It is also rumored that a release for Nintendo Switch will be released very soon, but we have no word from Respawn yet.
