Do you have problems with the sound? This mod wants to help

Eleven gigabyte large mod should solve the sound problem.

The modder scene of Cyberpunk 2077 is busy at work. After we recently reported about a project that brings new sorting functions for the confusing menus, the next work follows. This is 11 gigabytes in size and wants to fix a sound problem in the game.

Audio Overhaul adjusts the volume

What is the problem? As the modder Floyd Nexus explains, the sounds, voice files and pieces of music from Cyberpunk 2077 should either be mixed up very badly or not at all. That means that they always have a different volume. One song can suddenly be much louder than another, even though the atmosphere didn’t change. Voices, on the other hand, apparently remain the same volume and are therefore sometimes very difficult to understand.

What does the mod change? The Fanfix fixes exactly this problem. Floyd Nexus claims to have adjusted the volume of each individual sound file. That should have been around 800 pieces, which explains the size of the mod.

So you install the mod

• Charged all files from Nexus Mods down

• Load the file »Renaming batch« down

• Unpacks the batch file in the same folder in which the archives with the audio files are located
• Starts the batch file
• Unpack the archive »basegame_Cyberpunk Audio Overhaul.archive« in the GameDir archive PC Patch subfolder of Cyberpunk 2077

According to user lynnox227, the mod also seems to work well. In the comments he writes:

“Thank you, great job! The sound made me crazy, now I can finally enjoy the game. Recommendation.”
