One thing is clear: Jurassic World Evolution is absolutely jam-packed with a multitude of incredible dinosaurs. Because these are pretty hard to miss. But Frontier’s impressive park management game is also filled to the brim with amazing secrets, details and Easter eggs just waiting to be discovered.
From unique lines of dialogue to hidden pirate treasures – here are ten things that very few people knew about Jurassic World Evolution:
- Nedry’s infamous lock screen: In Jurassic World Evolution there is an allusion to the iconic computer lock screen by IT expert Dennis Nedry, “Uh uh uh, you didn’t say the magic word”. For this you have to select the management tabs. These are located at the top left in the setup menu. Then if you try to go to the Fossils Screen BEFORE you build a science center, you’ll see a familiar message – and no, saying “please” doesn’t help.
- Adjusted for Inflation: You don’t need a master’s degree in finance to know that everything gets more expensive. Inflation is faithfully reproduced in the Jurassic World Evolution expansion Return to Jurassic Park. In order to do justice to the economic situation of the 90s, all monetary values are around 60% of today’s value. However, running a large dinosaur theme park still costs a fortune.
- The secret song connection: In Jurassic World Evolution you can take command of an off-road vehicle at any time and drive through the park. If you listen carefully to the radio while driving, you might hear a song called Las Gaviotas. - Buried pirate treasure: In order to bring new dinosaurs into a park, you have to find them first. To do this, they send intrepid teams of paleontologists to the remotest corners of the world. Their job: carefully digging up fossils and sending them back so that talented bioengineers can restore their genomes. During the excavation, the teams can also retrieve a real pirate treasure, which can be sold for $ 500,000. That will definitely help fund further operations.
- Escaped Pteranodons: Pteranodons rule the action in Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park. They are among the most famous flying reptiles that ever existed.
