In recent days, rumors concerning the arrival of AirTags have been installed, for the month of March of this 2021. Given the wait of almost two years, since they were suggested for the first time, it is certain that most will not find it but, in the possibility that this affirmation becomes reality.
While AirTags have positioned themselves as competitors to popular Tile trackers since the first rumors, it won’t be a simple imitation. To date, they are taken for granted at least 7 AirTags functions with which they will differ from any similar device.
The most anticipated features of AirTags
Lost mode: AirTags may have a lost mode that will work when the AirTag emits a signal that nearby iPhone owners can detect. When an iPhone owner approaches their lost item, they send the contact information of the AirTag owner to their phone. Then the two can get in touch to deliver the item.
Integration with the Find My application: Owners can attach an AirTag to another item and then locate it using the app Find my on iPhone, iPad and Mac. As AirTags are directly integrated into the Apple ecosystem, they do not require a third-party application such as Tile.
Augmented reality: Apple should integrate augmented reality into its AirTags system. In case you lose the AirTag, Find My app can use AR to help you locate your AirTags. According to a string identified in iOS 13, the device will use globe assets to tell you precisely where an item is located.
Alarms: The Find My app will help you locate a lost AirTag using sounds. These audio signals will let you know when you are approaching your AirTag, when it is close to hand or when it is going in the wrong direction.
Safe locations: Apple AirTags will be equipped with a limit function which lets you know when the AirTag has left a designated safe location. For example, you can put an AirTag on your remote and set your living room as a limit. If someone picks up the remote and walks into the other room, they will receive a warning alert.
Waterproof: Rumors suggest that AirTags can be waterproof, allowing you to use them in damp locations or on items that may get wet.
Rechargeable battery: Apple is also investigating whether to use a replaceable CR2032 button cell or rechargeable battery. The company may include a charger similar to a disc similar to the Apple Watch.
For almost two years, rumors about AirTags gave rise to the design of concepts, with some really useful features for locating devices. And apparently we’re only a few weeks away from confirming them
