The first thing that we have to keep in mind is that this mode is not available for all laptops or GPUs, which we saw in the specific article for it. Assuming GeForce Experience is installed, we will walk you through the steps to activate it and be able to enjoy further optimization of our laptop and GPU with the sound it generates and performance in games.
NVIDIA WhisperMode, so we can use it on our gaming laptop
As we said, it is essential to have GeForce Experience, either installed as a unit or through an NVIDIA driver. So with this one on our laptop and with its previously guaranteed compatibility, we’re going to open the program and move on to the gear next to our username.
In this configuration menu that this icon supposes, several options will open to us on the left, where we will select the “General” option. Once inside and now on the right side, the features supported by our laptop will appear and we should see that WhisperMode will appear as “ready”.
If so, we look at the left panel again and go to the “games” section.
Once inside we will see in the middle section how many of them are installed, while on the right we will see an optimization message with several options available. The former will optimize game settings, while the latter will activate the WhisperMode itself.
Once we have pressed the button to activate WhisperMode, a message will appear in the middle of the screen that will tell us that this mode is active and that we will be able to optimize all the games if we click on the “Optimize” button for the to right of said message.
If we press the button, all games will be optimized according to the settings that NVIDIA does, and we can enjoy the optimization of RPM, fan sound and a very slight performance loss in exchange for that.
In terms of quality, normally we won’t notice anything relevant, a little loss due to specific tuning and nothing else. Keep in mind that so far there are over 400 games that have WhisperMode active, but logically this is a very small part of the market, so we shouldn’t forget about it when we want to activate it. in GeForce Experience.
