2020 marked the beginning of digital broadcasts related to video game industry events. The State of Play is Sony’s proposal in which the Japanese company seeks to show its new games for its PS4 and PS5 home consoles.
We now know that this year’s first State of Play will be held on Thursday, February 25, and will bring with it new announcements related to PS4 and PS5 games. In total, news related to 10 games for both consoles are expected, within these announcements new titles that have not been announced, some indie and others already known, stand out.
This State of Play is expected to last approximately 30 minutes and there will be no details related to the hardware of the PS5 or PS4. The event will focus on the games to come for Sony console users.
Some expected games
Although the official names of the games that will be shown in the State of Play are not available, Sony fans are already speculating about some of the games that we could see in said event.
The main bets are linked to titles such as Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, a title that already has a release date and will probably have a new trailer in this State of Play. Horizon Forbidden West is another of the games that we could see at the event, and being one of the most anticipated games by PS4 and PS5 users.
Riskier bets talk about the possibility of seeing Gran Turismo 7, a title that was delayed until 2022. The surprise and greatest desire of the fans is to see something of God of War Ragnarok, the long-awaited sequel to Kratos and his son who are now in Norse mythology.
