Four million units sold in just three weeks? This is how indie success works! The Viking hit Valheim continues to soar unchecked.
At the moment the records are falling like this: After Valheim ticked off a milestone on Steam the day before yesterday (we report: Valheim: Next milestone reached on Steam), the indie hit continues today with good news. The five-person development team was able to distribute 4 million copies – within just three weeks!
Valheim will soon need its own statistics, because the Viking survival fun is currently breaking one metric after the other. The fabulous sales figure of four million copies has now been added to more than 500,000 simultaneous players on Steam. Valheim has now been played by all of its players for a whopping 10,000 years. If you need a relationship: That’s 3,649,979 more days than the 21 days in which the game has been on Steam so far. The Viking hit is already at number 57 of the top 250 best rated games on Steam – and should continue to rise.
If you haven’t accessed it yet, you can catch up on this error for just under $ 20 on Steam. The title is still in Early Access, but it is already a lot of fun, as the 81,000 positive reviews on Steam reveal.
