How to find the dragon remains in the outbreak
There seems to be a version of this Easter egg in every map in “Burst” mode, so please choose any one you like. Dragon relics will be marked on the world map. Appropriately enough, its icon is a dragon head.
Look everywhere for a free-standing machine. It is like a huge steampunk speaker with a display near the base. When you approach it, a message will appear identifying this phenomenon as a “dragon relic”.
Interact with it to start a short challenge. It takes 500 points to activate.
Two things indicate that the challenge has begun: a purple flame circle appears around the machine, and the faucet pops out of the hole at the top.
What to do with the erupting dragon relic
Dragon Relic seems to be a callback to the zombie mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. In this game, Dragon enemies can be used to kill zombies, although they also pose a threat to the player. This is the “Easter Egg” part of the challenge.
But this time things are a bit simpler, because the dragon seems to have no interest in hurting you. Compared with its predecessor, it is also much less mobile because it cannot leave the machine. In this way, you can basically enter the dragon team, because you will feed all the zombies it can eat.
When the “Dragon Relic” challenge begins, zombies will spawn nearby. After entering the purple circle, these zombies will inject purple flames-similar to the dark ether. Kill the glowing zombies in the circle, and the dragon will inhale the corpse.
This challenge seems to have no time. Instead, the dragon will consume about 15 to 20 zombies before deciding whether it is enough. Then, the machine will shut down and fly into space, leaving the loot box as a reward. It seems very likely (thought that it cannot be guaranteed) that this will be an ultra-rare golden loot box.
