We won more than one Alpha test for Diablo 2: Resurrection.
Although there is Diablo 2: Resurrection It was leaked in advance, and I am very happy to officially see the game at BlizzConline in February.
The bigger news is that “Resurrection” is not like “Diablo 4” separated by several years: in fact, its goal is to release this year. Blizzard also announced that it will soon hold a technical test of the remake, and has opened up registration for this.
It now appears that the general public will have more than one opportunity to play “Diablo 2: Resurrection Before Launch”. Lead producer Chris Lena confirmed to PCGamesN that the team is actually planning to conduct two Alpha tests, the first will be exclusively for single-player games, and the other will test for multiplayer games.
Lena said: “We will start with the single player technical alpha, and then we will have the second technical alpha, which is a multiplayer game and stress test.”
In addition to all technical reasons for technical testing, Blizzard is particularly interested in feedback on game balance. From the sound of things, the studio is not sure whether keeping certain elements unchanged will maintain the original visual effects, or disrupt the experience of new players who are not familiar with them. However, Lena did not provide specific details.
There are no dates for the two Alphas in the plan, but we hope that the first will start at least earlier, not later. The full game will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch this year.
