When Nintendo announced the launch of an operation to mark the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., it became apparent to the crowd that the latter would have a hard limit and that the products marketed at that “party” would not be available forever. Even if Nintendo is a company that is used to “long sellers”, it is preparing to issue its death threat.

In one Tweet The Kyoto company recalls posting on Nintendo’s official Japanese Twitter account The campaign celebrates the 35th anniversary of the release of Super Mario Bros. and ends March 31st. Consequently and despite the almost general misunderstanding of the publicProduction, sales and online presence“of some products will end.
Don’t be fooled by the time
This move not only stops the sale of derivatives that are only available in Japan, but also affects certain games that are available in the West. Indeed, the physical and dematerialized versions of Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. will be withdrawn from sale. And as for Super Mario Bros. 35, a game that can be downloaded on Switch and played online (by Nintendo Switch Online subscribers), will simply no longer be usable as of this coming April.
Nintendo has therefore not reversed its decision to only offer these games temporarily. Interested parties who have not yet dared to take the plunge should therefore decide quickly, otherwise they will have to fatten speculators later. As an aside, note that Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will remain available until further notice.
