Sucker Punch’s latest production seems to have been blessed by the gods. Ghost of Tsushima was both critically and commercially successful and very popular in Japan, especially in the existing area where the adventures of Jin Sakai take place. It all has to say that the developers weren’t ungrateful.

Nominated ten more times at the BAFTA Games 2021, Ghost of Tsushima has another great story to tell: Nate Fox, its director, and Jason Connell, its artistic director, have been appointed Permanent Tourism Ambassadors by Hiroki Hitakatsu, Mayor of Tsushima City, Nagasaki Prefecture.. Pandemic obliges, the official ceremony will take place online.
Nice recognition
The success of the game had sparked tourist interest in the small part in two parts, which will soon be renewed thanks to a partnership with Sony. In January last year, we learned that a local temple can be restored thanks to the generosity of the game’s fans. What a positive result in times of health crisis.
The mayor said he wanted to appoint every member of the development team and discover the island more than these new ambassadors:
Fox and Connell have wonderfully spread Tsushima’s name and story around the world. Even among the Japanese population, few know the history of the Gen-Ko period. In the world, Tsushima’s name and location are literally unknown, so I can’t thank them enough for telling our story with phenomenal graphics and deep stories.
If there is more, why not target the whole nation just to “get well,” as they say?
Ghost of Tsushima is available for PS4.
