Greetings, travelers! The Genshin Impact development team is here again with some exciting news and previews of the game’s upcoming version 1.4 update, which launches on March 17th. As the winter chill begins to fade in Teyvat to make way for spring, we would like to share a glimpse of a traditional annual festival in Mondstadt – the Windblume Festival. As the beauty of spring fills the city, we hope everyone will join the citizens of Mondstadt in a heartfelt celebration of freedom and life.
All travelers who are Adventure Rank 20 or above and have completed the Archon quest “Song of the Dragon and Freedom” will be invited to join in the cordial celebration of the Windblume Festival. Throughout the festival there will be plenty of mini games to play with tons of rewards and prizes. Players will even have a very special chance to spend time with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett, and Chongyun, with the chance to experience different endings and memories depending on your choices and interactions with each character.
A time for special memories
As swirling dandelions begin to fill the warm spring air, the people of Mondstadt gather to celebrate the Windblume festival. The origin of the festival dates back to the liberation of Mondstadt two thousand six hundred years ago.
However, as the traditions of the Windblume Festival were passed down through the generations, the festival gradually became a cultural celebration of romance and passion. Couples and birds in love will take the opportunity to have a good time together, and the locals of Mondstadt will often recommend Cape Oath as the perfect place to confess feelings and promise romantic wishes. During this time of love and freedom, travelers will also have a unique chance to have a special time with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett and Chongyun. The choices and interactions players make with the characters can lead to different endings, with each actual ending awarding players an illustration of Hangout Memory.
Festive challenges await
In preparation for this year’s festivities, the Knights of Favonius and the Adventurers Guild have put together the most festive mini-games the city has ever seen, with a variety of activities awaiting travelers and locals alike. The majority of Windblume mini-games will support both single-player and co-op mode, so whether you’re playing solo, with a group of friends, or with someone special, the games are sure to leave memories behind. fun and long lasting. for all who participate.
This year, the Knights of Favonius hosted three main mini-games: Bullseye Balloons, Floral Freefall, and Ballads of Breeze. Each mini-game will have four different difficulty levels to test your archery, gliding, and ballad skills. By completing the mini-games, players will receive rewards and a certain number of party tour tickets (rewards for the mini-games can only be claimed once in single-player mode). Festive Tour Tickets can be redeemed in the Event Shop for a variety of talent level materials as well as two new exclusive gadgets: the Windblume Festival Memorial Balloon and the Windsong Lyre.
If you are looking for a more difficult challenge, you can try the Peculiar Wonderland – a special estate recently discovered and renovated by the Adventurers Guild as a festival event. Unlike other event mini-games, Peculiar Wonderland is a series of challenges that will demand both the mind and the muscles of the most experienced adventurer. Upon entering the particular Wonderland, players will be faced with three random challenge scenarios. Based on performance in Random Challenges, players will earn buffs to use in a final boss fight. Upon completing the Particular Wonderland, players will receive Special Collaboration Coupons, which can be redeemed for Weapon Ascension gear and an all-new 4-Star Bow, the Windblume Ode.
All this and more awaits players in version 1.4. We let you explore and experience all that the Windblume Festival has to offer.
Continue your journey alongside Dainsleif and Rosaria
In addition to all the events of the next update, the Traveler will also continue his story by continuing his investigation of the Order of the Abyss with Dainsleif the “Bough Keeper”. As the story unfolds, players will find themselves in a whole new realm where they will discover a Tainted Statue of the Seven and encounter a powerful new foe – an Abyss Herald. Finally, players will begin to uncover the secrets of Teyvat’s first Ruin Guardian in Stormterror’s Lair.
In version 1.4, we will be adding Rosaria “Thorny Benevolence” as a new 4-star playable character. Rosaria is a Church of Favonius sister that players may have encountered during their adventures with Albedo in Dragonspine. Carrying a Cryo vision, Rosaria is a powerful polar weapon carrier with an elemental skill that allows her to instantly move behind her foe, piercing and slashing them to deal Cryo damage. Her elemental shard allows her to attack with a powerful slash, dealing massive Cryo damage and summoning a spear of icy ice that deals continuous Cryo damage to nearby enemies.
Finally, we would like to share some tweaks and optimizations coming to version 1.4 that will make the trip more fun and enjoyable for travelers. First, since the original resin limit was previously increased from 120 to 160, the version 1.4 update will allow travelers to keep up to five condensed resins in their inventory. In addition, the new version will offer travelers the option to lower their world level to better meet their needs in single player and co-op.
That’s about all we have to share on Genshin Impact version 1.4. We hope everyone has a fun and memorable time celebrating the Windblume Festival.
