The liquid-cooled PS5 is here and it looks impressive

impressive, liquidcooled, PS5

Community mud he never ceases to amaze and his works are increasingly sophisticated. These tech geeks are capable of modifying just about anything. We have already seen it with portable versions of consoles such as the Nintendo 64 or the Wii, or updated versions of the Altair 8800. As if that were not enough, now it is the turn of the new generation of consoles. Modding Cafe has completely redesigned a PS5 and looks literally from another planet.

The work has consisted mainly of equip the PS5 with a new cooling system. For this they had to get rid of the original shell of the console. But … what do you do when you put aside the external structure of a device? You create a new one with a pretty amazing design. Of course, if they have months of time to carry out a project of such magnitude.

A series of videos shared on the channel YouTube of Modding Cafe shows how much of the process has been. From carefully disassembling each of the components, to relocating and reconnecting them to install the liquid cooling system. In this way, the console Sony it leaves aside its classic ventilation system to incorporate two fans, a radiator and LED lighting.

Modified PS5, worthy of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’

If we forget about the endless failures of Cyberpunk 2077 and we focus exclusively on that futuristic world, we could say that this console could fit there. All improvements have been placed on a custom chassis, that is, a new outer casing that has nothing to do with the original lines of the PS5, but has retained its tower design.

The most striking thing about this experiment is that the modified PS5 is fully functional and thanks to the liquid cooling system, it eliminates any temperature problems. While they have not provided too many details, the guys from Modding Cafe They have advanced that they plan to commercialize their project. If you dream of having one of these, you will have to wait some time to find out if it will actually be marketed and what position Sony will take regarding this “invention”.
