The franchise Life is Strange distributed by Square Enix is preparing for its next episode that could well count as the third official installment, without forgetting the ‘spin-off’ The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. This time we find a new protagonist, supernatural power and mountainous location. Unrelated to Life is Strange 2 but more connection with the episodic content Before the Storm, prequel to the first game.

What is it about Life is Strange: True Colors?
Life is Strange: True Colors It continues the traditional theme of the series by presenting a young protagonist with a mysterious power, who must solve a mystery in a totally new location for her. Alex Chen is an Asian American who grew up in a foster home, invited to the picturesque town of Haven Springs by her older brother, whom she has not seen for eight long years. When Alex manages to settle into this new and peaceful life, his brother tragically dies in an accident.
But not everything is what it seems. Alex’s ability allows him to feel the emotions of others in the form of colored auras, denoting an intense red when it comes to fury or rage, for example. Although at first he believes this to be a curse, it will be vital to uncover the truth about his brother’s death. Alex’s taste in music allows him to play guitar and sing (included cover from ‘Creep’, Radiohead), voice performed by the singer Mxmtoon or Maia and with songs by artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Gabrielle Aplin.
Steph Gingrich, character from Life is Strange: Before the Storm, also appears in True Colors as a resident of Haven Springs. Besides being one of the potential romantic interests for Alex like Ryan, a new character.
What is the developer of Life is Strange: True Colors?
Dontnod Games does not return this time as the main studio in charge of the new sequel to Life is Strange, being Deck Nine Games, same of Before the Storm, who take command.
For the first time in the franchise, players will be able to explore the environments of True Colors. In addition to this, the episode format is left behind by a complete game divided by chapters, all within a total story from beginning to end.
When will it be available Life is Strange: True Colors?
Life is Strange: True Colors will be available on September 10 for PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 5, Xbox One / Series X / S, Stadia and PC (Steam / Windows Store).
The original Life is Strange and its prequel Before the Storm in turn, they will receive a remastered edition in the third quarter of the year, with visual improvements and animations executed through Unreal Engine 4. Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will initially be available as part of Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate Edition, but later it will go on sale separately.
